Framework Grading

See Exactly What's Been
Running You.

Point Framework Grading at something that hurts, or at any area of your life. It finds the same thing either way: the structure operating there, how tightly it is held, how automatically it runs, and what it keeps producing.

A Different Approach to the Self and Suffering

Most approaches start with the content: what happened, what it means, what to do about it.

Framework Grading asks something else: “How is this being held, how automatically does it run, and what is that generating?”

Not the story around it. The structure, and your relationship to it. Because the suffering comes from how tightly you are gripping a structure about what happened, not from what happened.

What You Get

The structure operating where you looked, and what it enforces on your experience.

The framework underneath it

The structure operating in whatever you pointed it at. What it requires, and what it keeps in place.

How tightly it is held

Your Cage Score, 0-10 — split into how true it feels and how automatically it fires. Those two do not always tell the same story.

What sets it off

What activates the structure, what it means to you when it does, and what happens next.

What it runs automatically

The self-talk it produces, the mental habits and behaviours it drives, and the emotional states that come with it.

What it may be doing for you

The hidden payoff. What the pattern may protect, provide or prevent, where your answers show it serves an ongoing function.

Where it costs you

Where it creates friction, repetition or restriction, and where it does not.

What you are running from

The shadow. Who you are afraid of being if this structure gave way — written as a question, because it is the least certain thing in the read.

What would stop happening

Not a better future. The specific things that would simply stop occurring if the rule carried less authority.

How It Works

Four steps, whichever door you came through.

1
Choose where to look
A suffering you are in, or an area of your life. Either way the instrument is the same.
2
Describe it, and name it
A few sentences on what it is actually like, then a short name for it in your own words. Both are needed. They are what make the read yours rather than a reading of the category.
3
Answer 21 questions
Targeted questions about how you hold it, not about what happened. About 3 to 5 minutes. Designed to reveal structure, not symptoms.
4
Get the whole structure
Your Cage Score and its breakdown, the framework underneath, what sets it off, what it defends, what it pays out, and where it costs you.

Two Real Reads

Excerpts, nothing rewritten. Less than 5% of each shown.

Anxiety • going out and doing things
The rule underneath it
"If it feels this bad before going, something about going must actually be wrong — the feeling knows something."
How tightly it is held
7.2Caged

Two forces sit underneath that number, and they move at different speeds.

How true it feels
6.8
Drops sharply once you see where it came from.
How automatic it is
7.3
Wears down slowly, as it fires and goes unobeyed.
How the pattern operates

Cancelling produces immediate relief, and that relief quietly confirms that cancelling was correct — which strengthens the next firing.

The shadow

Someone who was capable the whole time and did not know it. The dread is not of being a coward. It is of having been mistaken for a long time about something that felt like knowledge.

That is under 5% of the read. The rest carries the beliefs holding it in place, what sets it off, the thoughts, behaviours and emotional patterns it runs, what it defends against, the payoff it pays out, and where it costs you.

See a second read Appearance & body, from the other door
Appearance & Body • hiding parts of myself
The rule underneath it
"There are parts of this body that need adjusting, covering or angling before anyone is allowed to look at them — and that adjusting is just what being presentable means."
How tightly it is held
4.4Loosening

Two forces sit underneath that number, and they move at different speeds.

How true it feels
3.3
Drops sharply once you see where it came from.
How automatic it is
4.8

What that gap changes

Because the wear is heavier than the belief here, more understanding will not do it. This is worth saying plainly in advance, because it has almost certainly already been understood, more than once, and the routine ran the next morning regardless — and that reads like personal failure when it is actually the wrong instrument. What moves a worn path is repeated contact, not better explanation.

That is under 5% of the read. The rest carries what has already cracked, the beliefs underneath it, what sets it off, the thoughts, behaviours and emotional patterns it runs, and what it defends against.

Seeing It Is Not the Same as Changing It

Framework Grading gives you the structure operating where you looked, how tightly it is held, and what it enforces on your experience.

Changing it is separate work. That starts with the Liberation Journey — the free walk through what Liberation is and is not, how frameworks form, and what actually loosens them.

It continues in Companion, where a graded framework stops being a result and starts doing work. Companion AI knows your frameworks and knows Liberation, so what comes back is practical rather than observational. Your grades and your conversations both feed your Vision — the direction you are actually moving in. From there the structure generating the suffering gets dissolved, the frameworks that grow you past it get built, and the direction gets closer.

Companion opens once you have been through the Journey.

Questions

Do I have to be suffering to use this?
No. You can point it at an area that works perfectly well and has never quite made sense to you. It will still find the structure underneath it, and what that structure costs. Whether or not the area feels like suffering, what it finds is the same.
How long does it take?
About 3 to 5 minutes to answer the 21 questions. Your read is generated as soon as you finish.
Is this therapy?
No. Framework Grading is a mapping instrument, not therapy, advice or treatment. It shows the structure operating where you looked, how strongly it is held, and what it produces. What you do with that is separate work — that is what the Liberation Journey and Companion are for.
Will this fix my anxiety or depression?
It does not fix anything. It shows what is generating the suffering now and what would have to change. Understanding the structure is often the first step.
What if my Cage Score is high?
It means a lot rests on this structure: more of what you think and do here is built on top of it. That is not a verdict on you, it is a measure of how load-bearing it has become. Your result also shows what makes it strong, because a rule you believe and a pathway that just fires do not loosen the same way.
Can I grade more than one thing?
Yes. Each is a separate read. Many people start where the friction is greatest, then look at other areas over time, and often find that different forms of suffering trace back to the same structure. That is itself worth knowing.
How is this different from a personality test?
Personality tests score you against predefined traits or dimensions. This shows the structure operating in whatever you pointed it at, how strongly it runs, what sets it off, and where it costs you.
